Whenever he calls, all worries seem to fade away. In every interaction with him, I have found nothing but love, brotherhood, and kindness. His grace stems from the blessings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) upon him.

Dr. Uzair Mahmood Al-Azhari, as a fourth-generation scholar of a distinguished lineage, has greatly advanced Islamic education. As a fellow educator with 36 years of teaching experience at the University of Karachi, I have witnessed students speak fluently and confidently in Arabic. It brings me immense joy to see that Dr. Uzair Mahmood Al-Azhari's tireless efforts have borne such excellent results. May Allah accept and bless his dedication.

Dr. Sahibzada Uzair Mahmood Al-Azhari has written a comprehensive research work titled “Peace and the Reality of Terrorism.” In it, he has covered definitions of peace, violence, and all its forms, while also discussing the causes of these social crimes and presenting solutions. Moreover, in the light of faith, Islam, the Holy Qur’an, Hadith, and the blessed life of the Prophet (peace be upon him), he has beautifully highlighted Islamic teachings on these issues.Therefore, this book is equally beneficial for scholars and students of international law, history, politics, and religion, as well as legal experts. The research work of Dr. Sahibzada Uzair Mahmood has been presented in the form of a dissertation, in which he has critically analyzed many contemporary terminologies. He has deeply studied the concepts of peace and violence and their variations. Not only this, but he has also unmasked the deceptions and manipulations of those who pursue violence under the guise of peace. Correct understanding of a situation itself is a branch of knowledge, and in the light of this knowledge, Dr. Uzair Mahmood’s dissertation tears the veil from the hypocrisy of the greatest deceivers and manipulators of our time.Each page and line of this work invites readers to reflect upon Western thinkers and philosophies so that the world may be turned into a cradle of peace. The enemies of Islam seek to malign this religion of peace by linking its commands of harmony with terrorism, while disguising their own violent acts as peace. It was therefore necessary to define terrorism and extremism through their own intellectual frameworks, to expose who the real terrorists are. All praise to Allah that my beloved son, Uzair Mahmood, has fulfilled this need through his dissertation “Peace and the Reality of Terrorism.” By quoting Western scholars, he has proven that Islam is truly a religion of peace and that, by their own definitions, its opponents are the extremists. In these times of intellectual and practical assaults on Islam, this work stands as a strong response and a great service to the faith.
