World Association for Al-Azhar Graduates — Pakistan Branch
Established more than a decade ago, the Pakistan Branch of the World Association for Al-Azhar Graduates serves as a beacon for promoting Al-Azhar’s moderate Wasatiyyah methodology and presenting the true, peaceful image of Islam.
Our Mission
The branch works to promote balanced Islamic thought, strengthen academic connections with Al-Azhar University, and guide scholars, professionals, and students toward moderation through education, dialogue, and intellectual development.
Jurisprudential and National Leadership
Dr. Uzair Mahmood Al-Azhari has made a significant contribution through his work with the Council of Islamic Ideology, Pakistan’s highest constitutional body for Shariah-based legal advice.
He successfully incorporated the fatwas and jurisprudential reasoning of Al-Azhar’s leading scholars into official deliberations. This helped establish Azhari thought as an important part of the country’s formal religious discourse and decision-making process.
Intellectual Influence
Through seminars, lectures, training sessions, and educational programs, the Pakistan Branch has engaged hundreds of scholars, lawyers, university professors, and students.
These initiatives encourage participants to adopt moderate, balanced, and well-informed Islamic thought while strengthening their ability to respond constructively to contemporary intellectual challenges.
