At the Fikr-e-Qur’an Seminar held in Lahore, Dr. Uzair Mahmood Al-Azhari (President, Al-Rabitah Al-Alamiyah li Khirriji Al-Azhar – Pakistan Branch, and Director, Al-Mu’assasah Al-‘Ilmiyah Al-‘Asriyah) emphasised the vital need to spread the message of the Qur’an and the language of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ across every town and village of Pakistan.

Dr. Uzair pointed out that language is never just a medium of communication; it carries with it an entire culture. He explained how the British cleverly promoted English in South Asia, and with it, their culture penetrated deeply into the region. This resulted in moral decline, where immodesty, vulgarity, and obscenity began to spread in society.

Drawing a parallel to the present, he cautioned that under the guise of friendship, China is also attempting to spread its culture through the CPEC project, which could pose serious threats to Pakistan’s Islamic identity and values.

He stressed that the mission is to promote the Qur’an and the language of the Prophet ﷺ, so that Islamic culture is revived and the system of Mustafa ﷺ is established in Pakistan. To achieve this, he announced that Fikr-e-Qur’an gatherings are being organised across the country to awaken hearts and minds towards the eternal message of the Qur’an.
