Dr. Uzair Mahmood Al-Azhari, President of Ruknul Islam Educational Society and Director of Al-Mu’assasah Al-‘Ilmiyyah Al-‘Asriyyah, hosted a gracious dinner for the graduates of Ruknul Islam and his respected student scholars at the blessed shrine of Qutb al-Waqt Hazrat Shah Mufti Muhammad Mahmood Alwari (رحمہ اللہ علیہ).
During this gathering, Dr. Uzair provided highly valuable guidance on how to protect faith in this age of trials — especially regarding atheistic ideas, misunderstandings about Tawheed, and misleading narratives about the friends of Allah (Awliya) spreading through social media.
1) Need for Training Curricula
He stressed the importance of introducing proper training curricula in religious seminaries, schools, colleges, and universities. He explained that before training students, teachers and scholars themselves must first mould their lives according to the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and then present this understanding with logical and rational explanations that resonate with young minds.
2) Ruknul Islam’s Efforts
He explained that with this vision, a humble effort has been made at Ruknul Islam Jamia Mujaddidia, Karachi, to establish a platform where the curriculum of Al-Azhar University is also taught. He shared an inspiring story of a student at the Karachi branch who recounted how, during a session at Karachi University with hundreds of students present, certain professors tried to convince them that reason alone is the ultimate authority — that Shariah comes afterwards. Sadly, most students seemed to agree with this.
However, this student of Ruknul Islam courageously countered this modern misguidance with strong rational and scholarly arguments, fulfilling his duty to defend the faith and light a candle of truth in a dark environment. Dr. Uzair urged everyone to enrol well-mannered and capable students in Ruknul Islam so they too can play a positive role in universities and colleges.
3) Embracing Modern Tools Like AI
Highlighting a third point, Dr. Uzair reminded the scholars that if we wish to spread our message to the world and guide people to the right path, we must remember that this is the age of Artificial Intelligence (AI). He strongly advised everyone to connect with this technology and learn how to use it correctly and effectively.
4) Gratitude and Prayers for His Students
Finally, Dr. Uzair expressed his heartfelt happiness at seeing his student scholars gathered around him. He showered them with prayers for their unwavering support, especially for praying for his recovery during his illness and standing by his mission. He emphasised that this is truly the blessing of Ruknul Islam’s legacy and the fruit of the heartfelt prayers of his honourable father, Dr. Sahibzada Abul Khair Muhammad Zubair (دامت برکاتہم العالیہ).
May Allah accept these efforts and grant us steadfastness to continue this noble mission. Ameen.
