Karachi – Under the patronage of Dr. Sahibzada Abul Khair Muhammad Zubair Al-Azhari (President, Milli Yakjehti Council Pakistan) and supervision of Dr. Sahibzada Uzair Mehmood Al-Azhari (President, Al-Munazzamah Al-Alamiyyah, Pakistan Chapter of Jamia Al-Azhar), the teachers and students of Rise Grammar School, Gulshan Kaneez Fatima, Karachi, organised a special rally to pay tribute to the martyrs of Palestine and raise awareness about Palestinian rights.

While addressing the participants, Dr. Sahibzada Uzair Mehmood Al-Azhari congratulated the school faculty and students for their passionate initiative. He praised their heartfelt effort to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine, especially during the blessed month of Ramadan and in a state of fasting, saying:

“Despite being young and with limited resources, these students and teachers have played their part. They’ve demonstrated what it means to stand up for truth and justice.”

He drew attention to the silence and inaction of powerful Muslim nations and armies. Referring to the Quranic command:

“What is the matter with you that you do not fight in the cause of Allah and for the oppressed among men, women, and children who cry out: ‘Rescue us from this town of oppressive people.’”
(Surah An-Nisa 4:75)

He strongly criticised the complacency of Muslim rulers and their armies who, despite having nuclear weapons and military might, have turned a blind eye to the suffering in Palestine. Instead of rising for the oppressed, they are drowned in arrogance, indulgence, and luxury, abandoning their brothers and sisters in faith.

Dr. Uzair poignantly contrasted the harsh reality of Palestinians with the comfort of many Muslim societies:

“While we break our fasts with lavish feasts, our Palestinian brothers endure suhoor and iftar amidst ruins and bombed homes. They lift not just food but the bodies of their loved ones at sunset.”

He emphasised the critical role of institutions like Jamia Al-Azhar, which continues to raise its voice and extend support for Palestinians in meaningful ways. He concluded by praying:
